  • What is a care home?
    The definition of a care home is an establishment that provides accommodation, care and support for people who need extra support to manage daily life and/or are unable to look after themselves in their own homes. The two most common types of care settings are residential care homes and nursing homes – follow the links below to learn more about what they provide.
  • Are you regulated?
    In England we are registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
  • What care do you offer? ?
    Our care services offer a range of care services – elderly care, extra care, residential care, Physical & Learning Disability, Mental Health and Reablement Services. The detailed offering relating to each home can be found on their pages. We understand the needs of our care service users may, so we will do everything we can to adapt the care and support given.
  • Can residents participate in the running of the homes?
    Yes. All residents will have the chance to be involved in regular residents’ forums to express their opinions and contribute towards their care. We also invite residents and relatives to participate in annual surveys.
  • Does every care users receive a care plan?
    Every care user is assessed prior to attendant to ensure they receive the care best suited for their needs. Your family or friends may be involved in this process if they so choose. An individual care plan is then created which sets out how staff will meet your needs. Care plans are reviewed monthly and will be updated when requirements change.
  • What type of funding do you accept?
    We accept residents who will be funding their own care and also residents eligible for a local authority contribution which would need to be topped up by a third party to meet our weekly fee. Where the top-up is payable, the local authority should pay us for the full cost of care, and collect the top-up from you directly.
  • Who can I talk to if I have questions or concerns about my loved one’s care?
    Whenever you have a question or a concern about any aspect of your care or your loved ones’ care, please bring it to the attention of the General Manager or any member of the home team. Usually, any issues can be resolved quickly and efficiently, and the earlier we know about it, the better. In the unlikely event that you have serious concerns about your care or your loved one’s care, please talk to the Manager in charge immediately who will put a plan in place to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.
